Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Tanah Laut government has administered COVID-19 jabs to 1,534 public servants, they were including state civil apparatus (ASN), state-owned enterprise (BUMN) empoyees, and public service volunteers.
Head of Disease Prevention and Control of the Tanah Laut Health Office Antonius Jaka said that in the last one week they took turns receiving vaccine service at the Angsau community Health center and Sarantang Saruntung Hall of the Tanah Laut District Secretariat.
The target of COVID-19 vaccination to public servants in Tanah Laut is 23 thousand doses.
Especially for ASN, he said, the first phase of vaccination was carried out from March 23 to March 30, 2021, with a target of 1,950 people.
"Until the last day, 1,534 people had been vaccinated for the first phase," he said.
Jaka admitted that the current availability of vaccines has not met the target, from the target of 23 thousand only 3,150 doses were available.
"To meet this, we will ask the provincial (government) again," he explained.
Jaka hopes that the implementation of vaccination on ASN can accelerate the end of COVID-19 in the Tanah Laut District.
"Hopefully the COVID-19 to end soon with herd immunity, at least 70 percent of Tanah Laut population to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in 2021," he said.
It was scheduled that the ASNs who received the first vaccine will receive the second vaccine from April 8 to April 12, 2021.
