Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Support from private sector was incessantly channeled when the COVID-19 outbreak continued to spread, including from Adaro Metcoal Companies (AMC) and Adaro Foundation together with Relawan Anak Bangsa (the Nation Youth volunteer) and Wahana Artha Foundation.
To the District Hospital of Puruk Cahu, Central Kalimantan Province, AMC-Adaro Foundation together with its CSR program partners handed over thousands of personal protective equipment on Thursday (July 2, 2020).
The assistance provided consisted of 16.000 disposable masks, 100 pieces of N95 masks, 40 goggles, 20 face shields, and 1000 hazmats. The PPEs were received by Director of Puruk Cahu Hospital Marthin Maha.
Marthin expressed his appreciation for the support provided by AMC-Adaro Foundation owing the limited PPE for medical personnel.
“The availability of adequate PPE has a psychological effect on the sense of calm and security for medical personnel in providing services," Marthin pointed out.

So far, AMC's suport has helped a lot as evidence of how the company concerned the situation of COVID-19 in Murung Raya.
AMC Community Development Section Head Sri Armiyati said the Murung Raya currently required a lot of PPE, considering the pandemic still tends to rise. PPE is needed by health workers to protect them from the coronavirus exposure.
Thus the AMC in collaboration with Adaro Foundation, Relawan Anak Bangsa, and Wahana Artha Foundation provided PPE assistance to support the district in containing the COVID-19.
