Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The rate of patient recovered from COVID-19 has surged in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, in the last week.
The figure can be seen from the day-to-day data released by the South Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force, even last Saturday recorded 15 more people recovered.
Whereas on June 22 the number of recovered from COVID-19 in the city was 78 from 1.117 positive cases, but five days later the number has become 156.
The number of recovery in Banjarmasin has surpassed that of death.

"Yes, right, the cure rate has increased and the newly OTG (people without symptoms but swab tested positive) tend not to show symptoms for up to 14 days," said Banjarmasin Task Force spokesperson Machli Riyadi here, Saturday.
He said, almost 50 percent of COVID-19 confirmed positive were OTG, so many who underwent quarantinee were not in the hospitals.
"We are grateful with the compliance and enthusiasm for recovery of these positive patients, (thus) the recovery rate become high," he said.
However, he still reminded that, the transmission rate in the city is still high, so everyone should not be careless.
