Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The construction of view tower by Banjarmasin Government, South Kalimantan, through the Water Resources (SDA) Agency almost completed.
"The construction of the tower to view tourist locations of Banjarmasin River has been reached 98 percent, meaning that we only need to release wood frames," said Head of SDA Agency Ir Muryanta on Tuesday.
He said, at the end of February all wood frame that has been installed to facilitate the construction will be removed, so that it could be unveiled in March 2014.
A projects worth of Rp14,5 billion with a building of four-story, height 21 meters, in an area of 13x35 meters is located at the Martapura River bank attractions on Jalan Pierre Tendean. A concrete building and nuanced typical of Banjar was built in two years budget, 2013 and 2014. The project carried out by a national company PT Nindia Karya.
According to Muryanta the building is not given walls at the ground floor, so visitors who climbed to the viewing tower will be free to see the sights of the city which has dubbed the "region of a thousand rivers ".
The walls only at first to third floor, while the top or fourth floor also without wall.
The top floor was given membram, a similar to strong tent, specially imported from Germany. "Membram mounted on the tower is similar to the existing membram on-site of departures and arrivals at King Abdul Aziz Airport, Jeddah Saudi Arabia," he said.
The ground floor can be used for exhibitions, while the first, second and third floor can also be used for other activities. Society, especially travelers, will free up the tower which is designed to use elevator.
