Bandung, W Java (ANTARA) - Seven people have lost their lives in the floods and landslides that have affected several parts of West Java Province since Tuesday night. All the seven people were residents of Bogor District, Chief of the Public Relations Service at the West Java Provincial Police Senior Commissioner Saptono Erlangga said in Bandung, capital of West Java Province, Thursday.
"Four of the people died due to the floods, while three others were killed in the landslides. All of the fatalities were found in Bogor District," he said.
Four of the victims were carried away by the currents when floodwaters engulfed Harkatjaya Village, Sukajaya Sub-district, in Bogor District, he said.
Three people were still missing and 12 others were injured following the flooding of the village, he said.
Of the persons killed in the landslide, one lived in Kedung Badak Village, Tanah Sereal Sub-district, in Bogor City while two others were from Curugbitung Village, Nanggung Sub-district, Bogor District, he said.
