Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Baiman main waste bank in Banjarmasin makes a wider range of service by providing pick-up service for people who want to donate economic value garbage.
"Our waste bank is developing a pick-up service. It will be activated in 2020," Director of the Banjarmasin Baiman Parent Waste Bank Fathurrahman remarked here on Saturday (Dec 14, 2019).

The service is for people who want to give away their waste, such as electronic junk, benches or tables, etc, for the reason they cannnot recycle or absence of waste bank in their area.
"Just contact our garbage bank, we will pick it up, we can even use pickup truck," he said.

This is actually, said the initiator of garbage bank in the provincial capital of South Kalimantan, has been tested in an elite housing complex. The result was quite a lot of people donate their waste, which can be of economic value if recycled.
"Instead of being junk that is not clear or rather than thrown away, it is better to be donated to the waste bank," Fathurrahman pointed out.

According to him, the junk goods donated to the waste bank, such as benches and tables, will be remade well by the parent waste bank's creative team.
"Later we can donate them again to the orphanage or other places that need it, such as social institution," he said.
