Marabahan, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The final waste disposal in Tabing Rimbah Village, Mandastana Sub-district, has become the place of commemoration of the 2019 World Habitat Day and City Day in Barito Kuala (Batola) District, South Kalimantan, Thursday (Oct 31, 2019).
Clean-up action accompanied the commemoration and began with handsover of clean-up tools from the Head of Hall of National Road Executive Region XI Banjarmasin Sugiyartanto to officer and witnessed by Regent Barito Kuala (Batola) Hj Noormiliyani AS, members of regional leaders coordination forum (forkopimda), Acting District Secretary Abdul Manaf and Head of PUPR (Public Work and Housing) Agency Saberi Thanoor.
The commemoration also attended by head of Hall of River Region I, head of Training Agency Region VII, head of South Kalimantan Construction Service Agency, and head of Swampland R&D Banjarmasin.

The final waste disposal (TPA) of Tabing Rimbah is not such a commonly final waste disposal. It is well-maintained, well-managed, shady, just like entering a park.

For the Cipta Karya, she requested to build garbage canal for TPA Tabing Rimbah, intake and raw water trsmission pipeline from Tabukan to Marabahan, and the development of piping network in water prone areas of SPAM (Regional Water Treatment System) Anjir Muara-Anjir Pasar.
While for Bina Marga (Road Agency), she requested the widening of road from Handil Bakti to Rantau Badauh.

About the commemoration, the first female regent in South Kalimantan said, the World Habitat Day and City Day which is designated by the United Nations to be commemorated every October 31st aims to encourge international communities to think about urban issues in addition to boost cooperation among countries to support the sustainable urban development.
