Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Acting Head of the Banjarmasin Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) H Muhammad Hilmi acknowledged the sabotage issues have circulated related to a series of fire accidents in several places in the capital city of Banjarmasin.
As the big fire accident in South Alalak, North Banjarmasin, which has razed 65 houses of residents, he recognized, suspicion has spread that sabotage had caused the fire.
The reason was the people around had reported the fire started from an empty house. Thus, it was impossibility if it was caused by electric shotcut or cooking stove explosion.
"Indeed these are just rumors, but they make sense, till they widespread," he said, Monday (16/9).
"Even last night we received news from WA group, people were noisy as fuel was found suspected to be used as arson," he told.

Anyway, according to him, these matters should be attention to all parties, especially officers to probe in order there is no anxiety in the community.
But, especially for the fire on Jalan Sulawesi, Pasar Lama, West Banjarmasin, Sunday (18/9), he said, it was purely caused by human error. "It was caused by stove exploded no sabotage," he said.

According to the agency's data, seven fire accidents occured in the residential houses in the city. The cause was mostly human error, but there was also a suspicion of sabotage, and the police is still investigating.
