Bakauheni, Lampung (ANTARA) - Dozens of returning Eid-al-Fitr travellers fainted due to exhaustion and dehydration while queuing for ferry service at Bakauheni port in South Lampung district for hours on Sunday.
A total of 13 people fainted as of 02.00 p.m. local time on Sunday, spokesman for the port's command post Bangkit said.
They were soon taken to the ferry port's command post to receive medical treatment
The influx of returning Eid-al-Fitr motorcycle-riding travellers heading for cities in Java led to a long queue for entry into all the seven piers of the ferry port.
The return flow of Eid-al-Fitr holidaymakers at the ferry port is expected to peak on Sunday or three days after the Eid-al-Fitr festivities.
