The Government of Tabalong District, South Kalimantan Province, has received fiscal incentive fund of IDR9.4 miliar from the Ministry of Finance for its performance in controlling regional inflation.

Regent Anang Syakhfiani expressed his gratitude that Tabalong government has received the same fund for the second times in 2023.

"Controlling inflation in Tabalong was not easy as prices of several basic commodities were increased. It requred harder work and support from all stakeholders," he said here, Monday.

Regent of Tabalong received the fiscal incentive fund for period III in 2023 when attending the the Regional Inflation Control Coordination Meeting at the Sasana Bhakti Praja Building of the Home Affairs Ministry in Jakarta on Monday.

Minister of  Home Affairs Tito Karnavian in his remarks expounded that inflation in October 2023 reached 2.56 percent or increased from 2.28 in September 2023 when basic needs prices, such as rice and chili, rising based on Central Statistics Agency (BPS) report.

Chief Executive of of Period III Fiscal Incentive Allocation Director General of Finance Balance of Finance Ministry Luky Alfirman hopes that the awards for regional that have performed well in controling inflation can spur performance to further improve.

This year fiscal incentive related to regional inflation controlling were given twice with a total ceiling of IDR660 billion to 34 recipient regions from three provinces, six cities, and 25 regencies (districts). 

"For this period III the total allocation used was IDR304 bilion," said Luky.
