Kandangan, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Regent South Hulu Sungai (HSS) H. Achmad Fikry, MAP launched three villages in Kandangan Subdistrict, namely Lungau, Bangkau, and Gambah Dalam Barat Villages free of loan sharks or what so called rentenir.
He said, he welcomed the steps of Kandangan Subdistrict to stop the activities of loan sharks in HSS to improve people's welfare.
When delivering a speech at the Lungau Village Office yard, Friday (26/4), he explained the most influential keyword was the mental attitude of the person himself and the community to no longer be trapped in the lure of lucrative loans.
On this occasion, the regent also expressed his gratitude to entrepreneurs and religious scholars who have helped make the poverty alleviation program a success.
"Then we step to realize the prosperous HSS community of the world and the hereafter," said the Regent.
Also present were Acting Regional Secretary of HSS H. Hubriansyah, heads of agencies, chairman of MUI Kandangan, clerics, Baznas, Forkompinca Kandangan, village heads of Kandangan Subdistrict, entrepreneurs and communities.
