Batulicin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - People with dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in Tanah Bumbu currently reach 37 people, said Head of the local Health Agency Damrah.
As many as 37 people who were declared positive for dengue fever spread throughout the sub-districts, but the highest cases were in Simpang Empat Subdistrict, he said in Batulicin on Tuesday.
"This case of dengue fever has increased compared to the previous period, even in the beginning of January it has reached 37 cases," he said.
He said, during 2016, the victims who suffered from dengue fever reached 424 people and the highest cases occurred in Simpang Empat, while in 2017 period totaled 376 cases. From January to early February 2019 there have been 37 cases.
The efforts of regional governments, including eradicating mosquito larvae, and adult mosquitoes in the area where dengue fever occurs.
The Tanah Bumbu Health Agency also directly involves the community in
eradicating mosquito nests simultaneously by sowing abate powder in standing water in the community.
In addition, Health Agency officials carry out fogging routinely in every village where dengue fever often occurs to kill the mothers of living mosquitoes.
