Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Meranti Forest Ecotourism in Sebelimbingan Village, North Pulau Laut, Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, now has a new attraction, a bridge (anjungan) which is newly built.
Yudi, an officer at the Meranti Forest Ecotourism counter, said Thursday the additional facility had an impact on the increase of visitors. "Indeed there has been an increase from the days before there was a bridge," he said.
From the bridge that is built in the peak area of Meranti, visitors can enjoy the scenery at a height.
This platform presents a stretch of green nature and blue sea in the distance. However, visitors cannot stand here long, because of the crowds of people who want to take selfies.
For security reasons, the capacity of the bridge is limited to only five people, so visitors who want to take selfies must take turns.
Previously the Meranti Forest Ecotourism was closed for two months, because of the construction of the halls and other facilities at its peak.
In the first days after reopening, visitors are still quiet. But then the number jumped more than usual.
"Usually if the weekend reaches 200 people, now there can be more than 300 people," said Yudi.
Even though there are additional facilities, the old Meranti Forest Ecotourism entrance ticket still applies, which is IDR 5,000 for adults and free for children. But now there is an additional one thousand rupiah per person for insurance.
