Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Kotabaru Regent H Sayed Jafar officiated Kuning Sejahtera Jaya Abadi (SJA) Bridge, which is built to improve inter-village connectivity as well as transportation in the southern area of Pulau Laut Kotabaru.
He hopes the bridge will help facilitate people's activities and improve the economy, as well as a better and prosperous interaction between residents, especially people in Teluk Sirih Village and Sungai Bulan Village.
"This bridge is not just physical infrastructure, it is a symbol of connectivity, accessibility , and convenience for our community,” said the Regent, Tuesday.

The 200 meters long bridge is yellow with swordfish ornament, the symbol of Kotabaru, along the fence. Named SJA by the Regent, the bridge connects Sungai Bulan Village and Teluk Sirih Village in Pulau Laut Selatan Sub-district.
He hopes that the community can make the best use of this bridge.
The Regent invites the whole community to play their role in regional development in Kotabaru. “Together we realize hopes and aspirations for a better community,” he said.
Head of Pulau Laut Selatan Sub-district Burhanuddin expressed his gratitude to the Regent for his presence to inaugurate the connecting bridge.
He explained that before this bridge, the best road access from Teluk Sirih for activities such as school children, transporting goods and others, turning onto the main road with a distance of approximately 5 km.
