South Kalimantan hajj left in Mecca dies

Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - One Hajj pilgrim from South Kalimantan H Huderin Fauzi bin Pasi Yaman who was left behind in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, because of illness is said to have died.


Head of the Hajj Information Section of the South Kalimantan Office  Ministry of Religious Affairs Hidayaturrahman on Monday revealed that the news of the death of the Hajj pilgrim, an origin of Tapin District, was received on Thursday (27/9), but actually died on Wednesday (26/9).

"The pilgrim who died came from flight group (Keloter) 2 Banjarmasin Embarkation. He was treated at Heera Makkah Hospital for 38 days," he said.

The late H Huderin Fauzi was one of the pilgrims who could not be sent home with his flight group because of illness and had to receive intensive care.

"He was ill after an armina and stayed at Mecca Heera Hospital on August 21, 2018, at 20.02 local time," he said.

"Whereas the group of flight group 2 had arrived in the homeland on August 31, 2018," he continued.

The Head of the South Kalimantan Office  Ministry of Religious Affairs who Chair the Indonesian Haj Management Committee (PPIH) of Banjarmasin Embarkation H Noor Fahmi confirmed the information, but his party would formally submit the deceased news if the Certificate of Death had been received in the Computerized Integrated Hajj System (Siskohat).

"We have received news of death through social media, but officially we are still waiting for the COD at Siskohat," he said.

Thus, said Noor Fahmi, the number of Hajj pilgrims from South Kalimantan who died to date is 6 people during the 2018 hajj worship.

"The total number was 3,886 worshipers and officers and those sent home were 3,880 because of the minus of 6 worshipers who died," concluded Noor Fahmi.
