South Kalimantan is recommended to increase palm oil factories

I think for the time being there is no choice but to multiply and or increase the capacity of the palm oil plantation processing factory,

Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Secretary of Commission II South Kalimantan DPRD Imam Suprastowo suggested the government and companies to increase palm oil mill to absorb more palm oil products.

In addition, if possible, increase the capacity of palm oil plantation processing factories, he said in Banjarmasin on Wednesday, related to the drop in world oil palm prices which also affected the province which consisting of 13 districts and cities.

"I think for the time being there is no choice but to multiply and or increase the capacity of the palm oil plantation processing factory," advised the deputy chairman of the PDI-P fraction of South Kalimantan DPRD.

The reason, he continued, the existing palm oil plant capacity is still small unbalanced with the results of oil palm plantation products that continue to multiply.

Similarly, not all oil palm plantation companies have factories to process their products, Imam Suprastowo said.

Earlier about two weeks ago, the Association of Oil Palm Plantations South Kalimantan met with Commission II, who overseeing economic and finance, to discuss the issue of the recent drop in palm oil prices.

The results of the meeting, among others, they hoped how the government helped them find solutions to problems that lately made the farmers suffered loss.
