Martapura, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Brigadier General Rachmat Mulyana visited durian garden in Bi`ih Village while ensuring public security and order (Kamtibmas) is conducive.
"Our visit in addition to enjoying the famous Bi`ih durian delights also to ensure the public security and order is conducive," said police chief on the sidelines of his visit on Tuesday.
Bi`ih Village, which belongs to Karang Intan Subdistrict is about 25 kilometers from Martapura city center, the capital of Banjar District, known as durian producing village.
According to the police chief, he came to the agro-tourism durian village to interact with the local community and surrounding areas, so as to know the current condition.
"This visit as one means to meet and communicate with the community, so we can hear the latest information including the condition of the region," he said.
He insisted that police personnel throughout the South Kalimantan are also requested to go directly to the community to ensure the situation of public security and order.
"The presence of every police personnel in the community is very important because he can directly know the latest information, especially related to the situation or security and order," he said.
The visit of the police chief, accompanied by the family and some officials of South Kalimantan Regional Police, received with warm welcome by Agro Tour of Haji Arul Durian Garden owner and surrounding community.
"We are happy to directly meet with the chief of police, besides being able to courteous, he does not hesitate to serve photographic requests to the community," said a resident, Udin.
