Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - A total of 177 Kotabaru's prospective haj pilgrims underwent biometric recording in the district pilgrimage dormitory.
Head of Kotabaru office of Ministry of Religious Affair H. Salman Basri accompanied by Head of Hajj and Umrah Management Section H Syahruji on Friday here said biometric recording is one of the stages that haj candidates must pass.
"The recording of biometrics is done after the prospective haj pilgrims undergo second stage health test," he said.
Furthermore, haj prospective await the results of the second medical test. If declared healthy or istitho'ah, then they will be asked to pay off the costs of organizing the Hajj (BPIH).
The first BPIH repayment scheduled to end on April 15. "If the prospective haj has been declared istitho'ah, please immediately pay off the BPIH," he said.
He explained that there were previously 181 haj candidates from Kotabaru, but because of several were died and other reasons, there were 177 people left.
"These stages are part of the haj worship itself. And I pray all prospective haj pilgrims can be istitho'ah, and hopefully become the mabrur ((the one accepted by Allah) haj," said Head of the Health Agency Akhmad Rivai.
