Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan Province, received the 2025 Sutami Award from the Ministry of Public Works (PU) for the the best-performing regional government in road maintenance.
The national award was received by Mayor Erna Lisa Halaby from Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo, the Banjarbaru Communication and Informatics Office informed in a press statement here, Tuesday.
"Alhamdulillah, we receive Sutami Award presented by Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo on the Ministry of Public Works' Service Day in Jakarta, Monday," said the Mayor, who received the award accompanied by Head of Banjarbaru PUPR Eka.

She said the award is expected to motivate employees within the PUPR Office, including related agencies, through support from all parties in the city.
Lisa emphasized that she is striving to realize good road management through the performance of officials, especially within the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), so that public can enjoy progress, particularly in road infrastructure.
"we encourage all levels of apparatus at PUPR Office to continue improving performance, especially in road maintenance, so that every citizen can enjoy good and adequate infrastructure," she said.

Head of Banjarbaru PUPR Office Eka Yuliesda expressed pride in the award which she said received thank to the support of mayor, regional secretary and all parties who have encouraged better performance of her staff.
"This award is thank to the support of various parties, especialy the mayor, regional secretary and all PUPR staff. We certainly hope to serve the public even better in the future," she said.
Eka also said that the award was a a year-end gift for the performance of all PUPR and Banjarbaru City Governement employees who consistently strive to ensure optimal road maintenance.
