Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Kotabaru has set the zakat al-Fitr and fidyah amounts for the district for 1447 Hijriah/2026.
Chair of the Kotabaru BAZNAS H Mahmud Dimyati said that amount set for zakat al-Fitr and fidyah serves as a reference for all Zakat Collection Units (UPZ) in Kotabaru.
"This announcement was made in Kotabaru on February 5, 2026, and is expected to serve as a guideline for the community in fulfilling their zakat al-Fitr and fidyah obligations according to applicable regulations," he said.
The zakat al-Fitr amount per person is determined based on the type of rice typically consumed by the community. It is estimated to be in the range of IDR66,000 to IDR35,000 per person.

The highest category of zakat al-fitr is set at IDR66,000 per person.
The other categories to be paid are IDR59,000, IDR51,000, IDR 43,000, and the lowest category is IDR35,000 per person --depending on the price of rice.
In addition to zakat al-fitr, Kotabaru BAZNAS also sets a fidyah amount for those who miss the Ramadan fast.
The fidyah value is set in three categories: Category I at IDR50,000, category II at IDR35,000, and category III at IDR20,000 per missed day of fasting.
