Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Tanah Bumbu Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) continues its efforts to improve capabilties of personnel and volunteers by providing training in post-disaster psychosocial recovery.
"Personnel and volunteers are trained through technical guidance themed "Recovering together, improving ourselves and communities in trauma healing," said Head Executive of Tanah Bumbu BPBD Sulhadi, represented by Muhammad Faisal, the BPBD Head of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, here on Friday.
Faisal said through this technical guidance the agency wants to ensure that disaster victims receive professional emotional and mental support. Thus this training is crucial as a mean of improving HR capacity.
It is hoped that all participants will have qualified skills to provide psychosocial support service to disaster victims in a professional, coordinated, and sustainable manner.
A total of 70 participants attended the training. They were trained to improve knowledge and skills of disaster management task force.
"With qualified skills, they will be able to provide effective assistance and support for trauma healing, not only for the community but also to fellow volunteers and other stakeholders," explained Faisal.
