Barabai, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Regent of Hulu Sungai Tengah (HST), South Kalimantan, Samsul Rizal received an award as among the Top 3 in the Central Indonesia Region (WITA) for achieving the 2025 Indonesia Digital Society Index (IMDI).
The Regent received the award from the Director General of Digital Ecosystem at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) at Ganara Art FX Sudirman, Jakarta, Thursday.
"Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah), we are very grateful for this year's IMDI achievement. we are committed to continuing to improve four pillars of IMDI," said the Regent here, Thurday.

HST Regency recorded a score of 55.75 or the highest in South Kalimantan Province. Its achievement significantly increased compared to 2024 with a score of 43.85 and placed ninth at the provincial level.
Rizal expressed pride in the assessment of the Communication and Digital Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM Komdigi), which ranked HST as one of the best-performing districts in Central Indonesia.
This achievement, he said, is inseparable from the local government's commitment, cross-sectoral support, and participation of community in digital technology utilization.

The programs implemented, he expounded, include strengthening internet infrastructure, improvement of digital-based public services, up to development of public information community.
"This achievement is not the end. We will continue ourdigital transformation program, including expanding digital government and improving digital literacy in schools," he said.
He also expressed his gratitude to the HST people for their continued support for the regional digitalization program.
