Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Tabalong, South Kalimantan, government received the 2025 Proklim (Community Program for Climate) award from the Ministry of Environment for its commitment to concrete, measurable and sustainable climate change control action.
The Regional Secretary Hj Hamidah Munawarah, who represented Tabalong Regent H Muhammad Noor Rifani, received the award from LH Ministry at the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta, Monday.
"This national award is a special gift for Tabalong's 60th anniversary and can inspire proklim villages," said Hamida, Wednesday.

The award, presented by Environmen Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq was a prestigious award received by Tabalong along with 25 other regencies, cities and provinces in Indonesia.
The award was given to regional governments that have administered policies/regulations and implemented guidance and mentoring to support the Community Program for Climate (Proklim).
Head of Tabalong Environment Office Erfin Nirza Siregar said climate village guidance will continue to be implemented, including villages that are being mitigated against the potential damage to natural resources and environment.
The same award was also given to Governor of South Kalimantan H Muhidin, Governor of West Java, Governor of East Java.

For city government included Mayors of Bandung, Mayor of Bogor, Mayor of Depok (West Java), Mayors of Semarang, Mayor of Surakarta (Central Java), Mayors of Madiun, Mayor of Malang, Mayor of Surabaya (East Java), Mayor of Tarakan (North Kalimantan).
The district goverment of Bandung, Bekasi, Ciamis (West Java), Banyumas, Magelang (Central Java), Gresik, Lumajang, Trenggalek (East Java), Padang Pariaman (West Sumatra), Muara Enim (South Sumatra), Tabalong (South Kalimantan) and Bone (South Sulawesi).
