Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Saptaindra Sejati (SIS) together with Amanah Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) distributed Cahaya Inspirasi Anak (CIA) educational magazines and ISO to elementary school and kindergarten students in Tabalong District, South Kalimantan Province.
The action, said Nenden Maryam, External Relations Department Head of PT SIS, was part of their efforts to support children's literacy improvement within the operational areas of the company.
"Students' literacy skills need to be increased, one way is by alloting CIA magazines with the hope of developing reading culture among students,” she said here on Thursday.
Nenden was accompanied by SIS CSR team and YABN representatives when distributing the magazines to 83 students of Karya Bakti Warukin Kindergarten (TK) and 234 students from Maburai Public Elementary School (SDN Maburai).

Students of SDN Maburai from grade 1 to 6 not only receiving free magazines, they also had the opportunity to interact directly with the organizers.
One of the students, Vika, enthusiastically asked how to be a great person.
Then, Nenden answered, "Obey your parents, teachers, and discipline are part of being a great child.”
The CIA magazines were symbolically handed over to the students and witnessed by a number of teachers of SDN Maburai.
Meanwhile, Principal of SDN Warukin or Warukin Public Elementary School, Erni Radian, welcomed the magazine donation, saying it supports the school's effort to foster students' interest in reading.
“The children are quite enthusiastic receiving CIA magazine because of its attractive colors and pictures, stimulate their interest in reading,” she said.
PT SIS and YABN scheduled to run the literacy activities until November 2025. They include workshop for PAUD (early childhood education) and SD teachers, school literacy project, and SIS Literacy Festival in the company's ring I area, which include Tabalong, Balangan, and Barito Timur districts.
The best results from the literacy activities will be displayed at CIA Fest, scheduled for October 2025 in Jakarta.
SIS and YABN are committed to support the improvement of children's quality education through various literacy programs to produce literate and character-based generation.
