Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Saptaindra Sejati (PT SIS) and Amanah Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) are committed to improve the quality of children's education to produce literate and character generation by holding Nyalakan Literasi (Ignite Literacy) workshop for both early childhood education (PAUD) and elementary school (SD) teachers in Tabalong, South Kalimantan, Tuesday.
YABN Chairperson Zuraida Murdia Hamdie said this workshop was to equip PAUD and SD teachers to foster a love of reading in a fun way.
“Through this activity, we take a concrete step to ensure children grow as a literate and character generation,” she said here on Wednesday.

Her party doesn't want the next generation to be swept away by technology and social media. They must have strong literacy skill and understand various things. They will have broad insight, wise in making decisions, and be able to be a better leaders in the future.
The first day of worshop, Tuesday (19/8) was attended by 55 PAUD teachers from Tabalong, Balangan (South Kalimantan), and Barito Timur (Central Kalimantan) at TEPA building, SMKN 1 Murung Pudak, Tabalong district.
The company collaborated with Cahaya Astra Literatus Foundation and Cahaya Inspirasi Anak (CIA) magazine in providing the workshop themed “Children Inspiration Stories 2025” which runs until August 22, 2025.

PT SIS representative, Novi Humaira, said that literacy program for PAUD and SD is one of the company's flagship programs, considering the importance of literacy amidst the rapid grow of technology and the use of gadget among children.
“We hope this activity can enhance the role of teachers in fostering literacy culture from early age,” she said.
Meanwhile, Coordinator of CIA Magazine Children Reading Right, Lyna, informed that the series of literacy activities will continue until November 2025 with agenda of workshop for PAUD and SD teachers, literacy projects in school, and at the end SIS Literacy Festival in Tabalong district.
The Literacy Festival will feature final literacy competitions, expo of PAUD works, and performance of students from Tabalong, Balangan, and Barito Timur.
Representatives of teacher and student will have the opportunity to participate in CIA Fest in Jakarta.
“We hope that literacy will become foundation for children, because literacy is not just about reading letters, but also understanding meaning and applying it for life,” said Lyna.
