Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Deputy Regent of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Syairi Mukhlis said that family is the main foundation in building the nation to produce superior and resilient generation.
Deputy Regent was reading written remarks by Minister of Population and Family Development and Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) Wihaji during the commemoration of the 32nd National Family Day (Harganas) in the district.
"The strong and harmonious family will produce quality and globally competitive generation," he said.

He also touched on the challanges towards the Golden Indonesia 2045, such as climate change, social inequality, and technology revolution, while highlighting the great opportunities in the form of demographic bonuses and technological advances.
"Building a family is a long-term investment for the future of nation. Strong family forms strong country," he emphasized.
Syairi also conveyed that to realize quality family, real steps are needed. First through education and digital literacy.
"In this digital era we have to watch out, especially to children, do not become addicted to gadged," he said.

Second, through family health with a focus on preventing stunting and attention to the first 1000 days of life as the main priority.
Then, through family economy. Economic independence is considered crusial in facing the era of productive elderly and changes in demographyic structure.
On that occasion, Deputy Regent accompanied by Chairperson of GOW handed over awards to the winners of the best field line appreciation at the South Kalimantan Province level 2025 from Kotabaru.
Among them, in the Family Assistance Team (TPK) category , TPK Hilir Muara (Selvi Roslinawati, Rika Priyanti, and Nirawati) won second place.
In Rural Community Institution (IMP)category, Apt. Isni Azizah,S.farm won thrid place.
