Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Library and Archive Office (Dispersip) builds children's character to have a noble character, good moral and integrity from early age through storytelling.
The Dispersip staff Erma Andin said that the office continues to hold this activity in turn to encourage reading interest among children .
"Through the stories given, it is hoped that lesson about reading book and literacy can be provided from early age,” she said in Kotabaru, Thursday.

That day, 21 kindergarten students attended storytelling activity with a cheerful and joyful atmosphere.
She said the activity was warmly welcomed by the students who enthusiastically listening the story deliverd by Dispersip staff Tiaman Gusti Erfina entitled “Landak Yang Baik Hati” (The Kind Hedgehog).
Dispersip on that accasion also brought story books that increased their enthusiasm and curiosity.
Abdi Mandiri Kindergarten teacher, Nurul Jannah, said that the activity promoted by the Kotabaru Dispersip was very helpful for her foster children to increase their awareness of imagination and encourage their ability to interact.
“This activity is very positive and very helpful for schools to increase insight to children's growth and development, and it is hoped that children will prefer reading to playing with gadget,” she said.
