Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A total of 16 schools in Tabalong take part in Adiwiyata district level assessment conducted by the district Environment Agency (LH).
Head of Environment Maintenance Section of the Environment Agency Nilly Raihani in Tanjung on Tuesday said the schools have been established for the selection of Adiwiyata (environmentally cultured school) in district level before advancing to the next level.
"Some of the 16 schools actually have completed the assessment, but the results were still below standard," Nilly acknowledged.
Adiwiyata assessment team, said Nilly, has been formed with the involvement of relevant agencies, such as the Education Agency, district Office of Religious Affairs, as well as NGOs and journalists.
The nominated Adiwiyata school for the district level are SDN 5.8 Tanjung, SDN 2 Tanjung, MAN 1 Kelua, SMAN 1 Jaro, SDN Padang Panjang, SMAN 1 Kelua, and SMPN 1 Banua Lawas.
Including SMPN 1 Tanjung, Tanjung SMPN 4, SMPN 3 Kelua, SMPN 1 Upau, SMAN 1 Tanjung, SDN Sei Rukam I, SDN 1.2 Pudak Setegal, and SMAN 3 Tanjung.
As in previous years, the Adiwiyata school assessments cover environmental policy, environment-based curriculum, and participatory -based environment activity.
Last year, six schools in Tabalong won Adiwiyata Cup for South Kalimantan provincial level. They namely were SMPN 2 Murung Pudak, SMPN 4 Murung Pudak, SDN Cakung, SMAN Muara Uya, SMPN 6 Tanjung, and SMPN 6 Tanjung.
Two other schools received Adiwiyata charter, namely MAN Tanjungand SDN 1.5 Tanjung.
