Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Legislative Council (DPRD) of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan Province, held a cordination meeting to prevent corruption with Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Wednesday (Nov 13, 2024).
DPRD Speaker Suwanti said KPK carried out outreach among DPRD members and the local government to minimize the source that cause corruption.
“Alignment between KPK, DPRD and the district government is to synergize in supervision so that the correct use of budget can be maximize," she said here on Wednesday.

She opined that a common-view and a correct development process can minimize miuse of budget to create good, trustworthy and accountable governance.
It also hampers corruption which can damage integrity of government institutions, harms the economy, and impedes social development. Thus it maintains public trust in the government and public institutions.
"This is a concrete step toward an accountable, transparant, and trustworthy government," she said.
Suwanti hopes that socialization of corruption prevention here can provide an overview of creating clean, transparant, and accountable governance both within the DPRD and the regional government.
On this occasion, DPRD signed a joint commitment to prevent corruption.
