Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The government of Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan Province, has again received fiscal incentive fund for its well performance in controlling inflation.
Banjarbaru Mayor Muhammad Aditya Mufti Ariffin here on Tuesday expressed his gratitude that his government has again obtained fiscal incentive fund of IDR5.8 billion for curbing inflation.
"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), Banjarbaru City Government has again received fiscal incentive from the Ministry of Finance. Hopefully the fund receveid to be used as well as possible for the benefit of the community," he said.
Based on the Finance Minister's Decree No.295 of 2024, he said, only two regions in South Kalimantan that received the fiscal incentives this year, Banjarbaru and Banjarmasin.
Aditya expounded that the allocation of fiscal incentive fund received by Banjarbaru was the first period of 2024 whose recipients were announced ahed of mid year.
"The fiscal incentive fund received is for the first period of 2024 and we hope that the assistance from the central government, especially in the form of fiscal, can continue to be received by Banjarbaru," he said.
The Mayor acknowledged that the success in winning the incentive fiscal was obtained through the performance of all levels of the Banjarbaru City Government who strived to reduce the rate of inflation so that people's economy remained stable.
Aditya pointed out that one of the events to be held in utilizing fiscal insentive is low price market in the whole city, both sub-districts and urban villages.
"Low price market is one of the efforts to reduce inflation by providing various food products. The prices are affordable, so that people's need can be met," he said.
The use of fiscal incentive worth billions of rupiah, he said, is in accordance with applicable rules and regulations with activities based on community priorities.
"The fund is (used) to support reducing inflation, reducing stunting rate, reducing extreme poverty, and increasing investment. All Insya Allah will be beneficial for the community," he said.
