Kotabaru, South Kalimantan 15/12 (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Provincial Narcotics Agency (BNNP) targets to establish three districts narcotics agency (BNNK) as a vertical institution in combating narcotics and dangerous drugs.
Head of BNNP's General Affair Berkatullah said on Thursday the provincial agency has proposed the establishment of three BNNK for the period of 2017. "Three districts rated to have complied with the requisites for BNNK are Tabalong, North Hulu Sungai and Tanah Laut," he said.
Several months before the end of 2016, the agency increased coordination with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) for the establishment of three BNNK in South Kalimantan.
"Alhamdulillah many friends in BNN very responsive and support our wishes that every district and city of South Kalimantan has BNNK as vertical institution ," he said.
So far, five districts and cities in South Kalimantan have BNNK, and still eight yet to own. The five are Banjarmasin, Banjarbaru, Balangan (established around 2011), Barito Kuala (2015), as well as South Hulu Sungai (2016).
Three districts are still in process and is expected in 2017 BNNK to be established, namely Tanah Laut, Tabalong and North Hulu Sungai. While five districts which have not yet formed its BNNK are Kotabaru, Tanah Bumbu, Central Hulu Sungai, Tapin, and Banjar.
