Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT PLN South and central Kalimantan Main Distribution Unit (PLN UID Kalselteng) has inaugurated the Ahmad Yani Customer Service Unit (ULP) office building to increase service comfort for the residents of the most populous city in South Kalimantan Province, Banjarmasin.
General Manager of PLN UID Kalselteng Muhammad Joharifin here on Thursday said the contruction of Ahmad Yani ULP building was a manifestation of PLN's commitment to providing the best service to customers.
"We believe the new facilities will increase responsiveness and effectiveness in addressing customer needs and requests, especially in Banjarmasin City," said Joharifin.
The inauguration of the building was held on Friday, June21, 2024 in Banjarmasin, which has 133,013 customers including 50 percent in Banjarmasin and a small part in Banjar District.

Joharifin said that electricity is supplied through three substations, 17 feeders, 320 circuit kilometers (kms) of medium voltage line (SUTM), as well as 486 kms of low voltage line (SUTR).
"Ahmad Yani ULP is one of the busiest PLN service offices, thus it can achieve average sales per month of around 36.155 Mega Watt hour (MWh) or 433.86 MWh per year," he said.
The ULP is said to be able to generate a revenue of IDR524.6 billion per year that it really support the company's goal to be the TOP 500 Global Company.
The Ahmad Yani ULP also provides Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SKPLU) with medium and fast charging types.
Head of Representative of the Indonesian Ombudsman for South Kalimantan Hadi Rahman really appreciated PLN for keeping on providing the best services for all customers of the state-owned electricity company.
He hopes the new building of PLN office to improve the quality of services to all level of society so that love and trust in PLN will even be higher.
