Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - To commemorate World Environment Day, South Kalimantan National Land Agency (BPN) together with Banjarbaru Land Agency planted 200 tree seedlings.
They planted tree seedlings in two locations, Amanah Borneo Park in Banjarbaru City and Janda Beranak Tiga Waterfall, Kiram Village, Banjar District.
Head of South Kalimantan BPN Abdul Azis, S.H. M.Kn, Head Survey and Measurement of the BPN Bambang Suyudi S.T., M.T., and Head of Banjarbaru Land Agency Drs. Fredy Marfin, M.Si, led the action together with BPN employees.
The activity was conducted in conjunction with activities carried out by the Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Ministry/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) which is centered in Bekasi, West Java.
The action was led by the Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) accompanied by the Trustee of ATR/BPN Employees' Wives Association (IKAWATI) Annisa Pohan Yudhoyono.
The Minister said every June 5, nations around the world commemorate World Environment Day and of course Indonesia wants to always be, not only a responsible global citizen, but also a champion in environmental conservation.

ATR Ministry/BPN as one of important element of the governemnt also provides solution in the spirit of commemorating World Environment Day.
"We are encouraging this, we are simultaneously planting100,000 tree seedlings throughout Indonesia and hopefully this contribute to our environmenta," said MinisterAHY.
He hopes the planting was not only symbolic, but a real action that benefit Indonesia also have economic value and increase people's income.
"Thank you for your hard work, not only here but throughout Indonesia. I know this is our joint effort in the midst of our busy and daily lives. Always take time to preserve our environment," said ATR Minister.
In princle, Miniser AHY stated that his ministry ready to support all policies of the President of Indonesia to increase sustainable economic growth and green economy.
Amng the forms of support is improving regulations related to carbon trading and sustainable spatial planning.
