Amuntai, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) Representative of South Kalimantan predicted North Hulu Sungai (HSU) could reach 10 - 15 year demographic bonus if since now directs its human resources to be skillful.
Head of the sub-field of Data and Information BKKBN South Kalimantan Uriet M.Sari in Amuntai on Monday said, based on the 2015 family data colllection he can predicts the achievement of the demographic bonus.
"HSU population dominated by the age of 10 -14 years. If they are put into a qualified human resources from now, the demographic dividend could be reached the next 10-15 years," said Uriet.
Uriet said, the demographic bonus in question is a region has the data or numbers that next few years this figure to embodies the Human Resources (HR) and the working age population.
So one of the efforts that must be completed by HSU government is to improve its human resources by completing the nine-year compulsory.
"Based on family data collected in 2015 as many as 3,615 children of 7-12 years age do not attend school, as many as 358 children of 13-15 years old are also not in school, and 16-18 years of ages who do not go to schoolas many as 154, "he explained.
He suspects, elementary to high school age children are not in school have anything to do with the condition of the educational background of the majority of the HSU residents mostly ended in elementary school (SD).
HSU population until the end of 2015 amounted to 219,550 and as many as 33,303 ended up in SD or madrasyah ibtidaiyah.
