Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - Chairman of the South Kalimanan Board of Indonesian Kick Boxing HM Rosehan Noor Bahri hopes that the provincial's athletes to win tickets to the 21th National Sports Week (PON) in 2024.
Rosehan NB, Monday evening (Oct 23, 2023), asked for prayers from South Kalimantan residents for five the province's kick boxing athletes, who will be fighting in Pre-PON semifinals on October 24, 2023, to successfully passed.
The five athletes, who entering Pre-PON semifinals in Bogor, West Java, are Nadia Hasanah (Barabai) in the 60 kg lowkick class and Inggri Sunita (Tanjung) 60 kg fullcontact. Both will compete against host athletes West Java.
Lisa Asni (Tanjung) in the 56 kg point fighting, to face East Kalimantan athlete, Hazqil Nasuha (Barabai) 71 kg lowkick, and Arjun (Barabai) in the 71 kg fullcontact against West Java.

The Semifinals take place at the Green Forest Hotel, Bogor, today at 10.00 WIB (West Indonesia Time Zone).
"Seeing the potentials of players, we are optimistic that South Kalimantan kick boxing can win tickets for 21th PON in Aceh and North Sumatra in 2024. Of course with the prayers of South Kalimantan residents," said Rosehan NB.
Secretary of South Kalimantan Kick Boxing Syahrir Panani previously explained that the province could only sent ten athletes to the Pre-PON in Bogor held from 20 to 26 October 2023.
According to him, actuallly 23 athletes had qualified in the the Province Kick Boxing Championship in Barabai (165 km north of Banjarmasin) last September. However, due to limited fund, only ten athletes were sent to compete in Pre-PON.
