Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has accelerated the construction of ministerial houses in the new national capital (IKN) Nusantara.
"The progress of the construction of landed houses for the position of minister at IKN has reached about 10 percent higher than the planned target of 8 percent," Director General of Housing at the Ministry Iwan Suprijanto said in a statement issued in Jakarta on Friday.
At least 36 units of the landed ministerial houses will be built by the Ministry of PUPR on plot 104, which has an area of 10.6 hectares, and plot 105, which covers an area of 9.1 hectares, in the IKN Central Governmental Core Area (KIPP), he informed.
In addition to the physical construction of the landed houses, a nursery has also been set up in KIPP IKN for plants, such as black orchids, ketapang trees, and guava trees, among others, that will be planted later in the ministerial housing complex.
The ministry has appointed service providers PT Adhi Karya and PT Ciriajasa Engineering Consultant to implement the residential construction.
Meanwhile, the construction management package of the landed ministerial houses at KIPP IKN will be implemented by PT Yodya Karya, PT Indah Karya, and PT Surya Perkasa Raya.
The scope of work includes, among other things, planning the design of plots 104 and 105, construction of landed houses, public and social facilities in the area of regional infrastructure work, and furniture work.
Suprijanto said that his directorate has prepared two types of home designs, namely the downslope type and the upslope type, with a building area of 580 square meters and a land area of 1 thousand square meters.
"The minister's landed house will later be built on two floors. The first floor will contain a terrace, work room, official waiting room, official area, family living room, and guest bedroom. Meanwhile, on the second floor, there will be a private area containing a family room, master bedroom, and also a children's bedroom," he added.
He further said that his party will continue to monitor the construction process so that it can be carried out properly in the field in accordance with the predetermined plan and to ensure guaranteed quality work results, with a target of completion in June 2024.
