Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of Banjarmasin Sanitation Agency Mukhyar revealed that as many as 1,250 janitor or commonly called the yellow troop will welcome Adipura 2015 award achieved by this area.
"The cleanest city award is coming on Tuesday, November 24, from Jakarta. Since the airport it will be greeted with march till the city center," he said on Sunday.
The janitor, from street sweepers, waste transportation, and parks officers who has worked hard for the environmental award will be involved in welcoming Adipura brought by acting mayor.
"At least 300 yellow troops will welcome the cleanest city award at the airport and taken to City Hall, then a crowd paraded around the city," he said.
This activity, said Mukhyar, of course to gratitude and joy of Banjarmasin citizens who have waited many years and finally get the environmental award this year.
"All citizens Banjarmasin should see the highest award for the success of environmental management from the Ministry of Environment and Forests," he said.
Earlier, Head of the Banjarmasin Environmental Management Agency (BLHD) Hamdi ensured that the city was awarded with Adipura 2015 according to an official invitation letter the acting mayor would receive on November 23 in Jakarta.
