Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Arutmin Indonesia North Pulau Laut Coal Terminal (NPLCT) in Kotabaru District conducted coral reef transplantation in the zoning area of Arutmin-NPLCT operation by empowring Pemuda Sahabat Laut .
CDEA Supervisor of PT Arutmin NPLCT Yogi Swara Putra Mendra said that it was one of the programs of developing village in ring 1 of the company's operational area.
"We will develop the location into marine tourism, including snorkeling, diving, bagang tourism, and coral reefs," he said.
According to him, the company has received an assisgnment from the local government to support tourism in the guided villages, including Sarangtiung, Tirawan, and Gunung Mamake, in order to provide added value to the villages' economy.
"Other developments that we do for the fostered villages are creative economy, agriculture, plantation, animal husbandry, education, and socio-culture. All we carry out according to the need of the community," he said.
