Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Acting Regent Central Hulu Sungai (HST) Ngadimun Saturday afternoon freed a patient being hostage at the General Hospital of H Hasan Basry Kandangan, South Hulu Sungai District (HSS).
Patient named Sri Astuti (16), a resident of Pamangkih, HST, should not leave the hospital, except to pay a fee of about Rp13 million.
The information cames from Vice Chairman of Commission IV South Kalimantan DPRD on People`s Welfare Yazidie Fauzy who implement recess in home constituency (electoral district) IV covering Tapin, HSS and HST.
Upon receiving information that his resident held as hostage at government hospitals in the neighboring district, Ngadimun directly came over.
At Hasan Basry hospitals, the acting regent immediately resolve the problems of his resident who can not afford the cost of hospitalization and treatment of postpartum.
"Importantly, our citizens must be out of the hospital and we are responsible for all financing during hospitalization and treatment," said Ngadimun who is also the Head of South Kalimantan Education Agency.
Pamangkih citizen issues because of the HST Regional Health Insurance (Jamkesda) does not apply in Hasan Basry Kandangan hospital, although a neighboring area.
Whereas under the provisions of Jamkesda HST applies only to local hospital, the H Damanhuri Hospital Barabai (about 30 kilometers from Kandangan), also hospitals owned by the provincial government of South Kalimantan in Banjarmasin.
While there has been no cooperation among districts hospital in "Banua Anam" which consisting of Tapin, HSS, HST, HSU, Balangan and Tabalong.
