Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Banjarbaru Deputy Mayor Wartono invites all parties to maintain togetherness in the city, one of which through gotong-royong (tradition of mutual help) in a routine clean-up action.
He himself mingled with residents as they clean up the green open space of Jalan Golf Komplek Wengga Jaya as well as several neighborhood units in Landasan Ulin Utara Urban Village, Liang Anggang Sub-district.
A member of the city legislative council (DPRD) Sukardi, Head of Liang Anggang Sub-district Adrianor Rivai, heads of urban villages throughout Liang Anggang, Green and Clean Community, chieves of neighborhood units (RT) and community units (RW), as well as residents participated in the clean up.
He said togetherness that has been maintained should continue to be improved and clean up action should be carried out simultaneously, not only occasionally or only on the commemoration of certain holidays.
"We appreciate the environmental cleaning that involves various parties. We hope that the activities to be carried out routinely to make our environment always clean and healthy," said deputy mayor.
He emphasized that clean up action is also a real form of caring for the environment, because cleanliness is the awareness and responsibility of every individual that must be continuously nurtured so that it can be maintained.
"At least residents routinely clean the home environment, epecially the yard. Remember, environmental condition shows our personality. Let's all come together to creat clean and comfortable Banjarbaru," he invited.
