Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Over 2015, Tanah Laut athletes incised achievements, both at regional and national levels, especially in tennis and gentole.
"For Sportama Junior Tennis Championships in East Kalimantan, our athletes won first prize in the single 18-year age group, second in double championship of 12-year age group, third place of single in 12 years age group, and the third place double in 14 years age group," said Regent H Bambang Alamsyah in Pelaihari on Thursday.
According to him, another achievement quite encouraging for the Tanah Laut is in gentole as third place nationally in Yogyakarta April 2015, ranked seventh in PIPDA 2015 by winning four gold, 10 silver and 15 bronze.
"We are also sending a team to the Kemenpora Cup tournament of village football league in Bangka Belitung province represented by football team from Angsau Village, Sub-district of Pelaihari, which is currently underway," he said.
On the 50th anniversary of Tanah Laut 2015, the district hold events of old bicycles, mountain bicycles, motor trail, boxing, volleyball, kempo for all-South Kalimantan, Regent Cup football tournament, football age of 14 years, sport galakarya of professional groups to futsal, badminton, and tennis courts.
