Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Tanah Laut Police during January to July 2015 deal with 19 cases of violence against children, particularly acts of wanton and beatings.
"In addition to 19 cases of violence against children, Tanah Laut Police handles five criminal cases whose perpetrators are children," said Police Chief Superintendent Rizal Irawan through the Chief of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Ade Papa Rihi in Pelaihari on Thursday.
According to him, cases of violence against children in Tanah Laut from January to July 2015 increased from the previous year, which is still under 19 cases.
While the crimes committed by child from January to July 2015, he stated, still in the case of immoral and violent acts. Investigation has been conducted also mediation process in accordance to Juvenile Justice System of Law.
Relating to violence against children and crimes done by minors, Ade Papa Rihi asked role of parents, schools and communities to supervise a child socially, because without the role of parents, and the school it will be difficult to anticipate.
