Barabai, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Residents of Central Hulu Sungai (HST) District were very enthusiastic to get the first jab of American-made Moderna vaccine as hundreds flocked at the Murakata building, when the local Health Agency opened registration for the public on Monday (August 30, 2021).
The vaccination officers were overwhelmed to serve a large number of residents. Although they wore masks, they barely keep their distance.
Agus, one of the residents, said he had been waiting in line since half-past seven, but until half-past ten he had not yet been vaccinated.
"Hopefully I'll get it," he said.
Previously, residents who wanted to be vaccinated with Moderna had to register online through the website provided by the Health Office.
However, the enthusiasm of residents was so high that those who did not register online also flocked to get the vaccine jab.
An officer of vaccination said that the Moderna vaccine provided to the public today was 130 vials. One vial for 10 people, so the vaccine today was sufficient for 1,300 people.
Officers could only serve those who have registered online. If those who came have not registered online they cannot be vaccinated unless the registered resident did not come, then they can be replaced.
