Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The District Government of Tabalong is now focusing on reducing and preventing stunting in 18 stunting intervention loci villages.
"We implement several activities programs and budgets this year to accelerate stunting reduction," said Tabalong District Secretary Abdul Muthalib Sangaji in Tanjung, Wednesday (July 14, 2021).
He was speaking in a discussion on the acceleration reduction of stunting in the district held by the Development Planning Agency (Bappeda).
Sangaji mentioned the 18 villages for the 2021 stunting intervention locus, including Bangkiling Raya, Tamunti, Mahe Seberang, Halangan, Dambung Raya, Ribang, and Bangkiling.
While the 2022 locus villages are based on the Tabalong Regent's decree No. 188.45/340/2021 regarding the determination of priority villages for stunting prevention and specific and sensitive nutrition intervention covering 19 villages.
The program activities and the 2021 budget to support the acceleration of stunting reduction include village funds of Rp2.5 billion, Public Works and Spatial Agency Rp25 billion, Housing, Settlement, and Land Agency Rp2.4 billion, and CSR Rp1 billion.
Head of the Bappeda Muhammad Noor Rifani said the acceleration of stunting handling must optimize multi-sectoral roles, namely government, private, and the community.
The discussion to accelerate stunting reduction said Rifani, brought in resource person from the Ministry of Home Affairs Rademan, and Rahmadi from the South Kalimantan Bappeda.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Regent Mawardi, Commander of 1008/Tabalong District Military Command Lt. Col. Inf Ras Lambang Yudha, sub-district heads, urban villages heads, and heads of government agencies.
