Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru Naval Base carried out mass COVID-19 vaccination for people living on the coastal area.
The Naval Base Commander Marine Lt. Col. (P) Sadarianto in Batulicin on Thursday said this is to support the government's program to accelerate COVID-19 vaccination with a target of one million doses per day throughout Indonesia.
"This is based on the order of the Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander as well as the direction of Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Yudo Margono for the success of vaccination campaign to the public in all provinces in Indonesia," he said.
Previously the Kotabaru Navy has vaccinated people inPulau Burung or Kampung Bahari Nusantara (KBN) in Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan.
The village is under the guidance of the Kotabaru Naval Base and the community is a priority to get the vaccination.
To maximize the program, the Naval Base collaborates with PT Pelindo III, the Tanah Bumbu Health Agency, health workers from the Navy, and Simpang Empat Puskesmas (community health center).
"Protect yourself and your family by taking the vaccination. Make Indonesia healthy," he pointed out.
