Trees have a very important role in living things. Trees are air filters on earth, it absorb harmful gas and components in the air then release oxygen.
Trees also store groundwater and lower air temperature, which is now getting hotter due to deforestation.
Meanwhile, acting Governor Safrizal said collaboration in Green Revolution program is part of efforts to improve the quality of the environment in South Kalimantan.
"South Kalimantan's environment quality index is below the national average. With hard work and collaboration, the land cover figure can be on target and can be met every year. If necessary, it can exceed the target," he said.
