Barabai, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - TNI ranks together with PLN officers and residents on Monday (Jan 18, 2021) cleared landslide road caused by flash flood that hit several villages in the mountainous area of Central Hulu Sungai (HST) District.
The landslide covered the road connecting Batu Panggung village, in Haruyan Sub-district, with Kindingan Village, in Hantakan Sub-district.
It also cut off the PLN electricity network, causing electricity in the two village to go out.
Babinsa (a village supervisory non-commissioned officer) of the District Military Command (Koramil) 1002-03/Haruyan Second Sgt (Serda) Sutoyo and Babinsa Koramil 1002-07/Pagat Second Sgt Sapto together with PLN officers opened the road to make motorcycles or car can pass.
Serda Sutoyo said there were 8 points of the landslide, but the severe ones were 8 meters long which blocked road access and no vehicle could pass.
"Thanks to the cooperation of all parties, thank God, for now, the road can be passed for two-wheeled vehicles," he said.
