Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Citizens with mental disabilities, who affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, in Tanah Bumbu District, received social assistance from the government.
"The distribution of humanitarian social assistance for persons with mental disabilities is the third phase in 2020 by the Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Mental Disabilities (BRSPDM) Budi Luhur Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan," said Head of Tanah Bumbu Social Agency Basuni in Batulicin.
He said the handover was carried out symbolically, and the assistance was in form of rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, sugar, milk, and others.
The number of recipients of food aid was 309 from ten sub-districts in Tanah Bumbu.

Basuni expressed his gratitude to the Budi Luhur Center Banjarbaru for providing social assistance for Tanah Bumbu's disabilities. It is hoped that the assistance to be able to ease the burden of their lives in meeting their daily needs.
According to him, in the current condition of the pandemic, all forms of assistance is highly expected for those affected by COVID-19.
"Let us work hand in hand to help our brothers and sisters in need, especially those with mental retardation," he said.
