Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Tanah Bumbu Library and Archive Office (Dispersip) held a story telling or telling fairy tales activities in effort to build literacy and noble character on children.
"Through stories, we hope to provide lesson about reading books and literacy from early age," said Head of the Dispersip Yulia Rahmadani in Batulicin, Thursday.
Yulia, accompanied by Secretary Muhammad Saleh, said that the activities would continue to be carried out to encourage reading interest among children.
Storytelling presented storyteller from Kampung Dongeng Tanah Bumbu or Tanah Bumbu Fairy Tales Village Trialis Nurika Evi and the team.

The activity received a warm welcome from children who looked enthusiastic. They read books and listening stories presented by the team of storytellers.
The excitement of storytelling was marked by the total participants reaching 285 students, including 110 kindergarten and Early Childhood Education (PAUD), as well as 175 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) students.
Also present at the event was Chairman of Syarif Abbas Foundation Ust. Habib Abdullah bin Thohir, Head of Madrasah Syarif Abbas Hj. Syarifah Nor Hajrah, Head of Syarif Abbas Kindergarden Syarifah Intan Soraya, and Head of Syarif Abbas Playgroup Hj. Syarifah Nur Hajrah.
