Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Head of the Tanah Laut Cooperative, Small Business, and Trade Agency (Diskopdag) H Syahrian Nurdin said 21,175 residents were verified as recipients of Micro Business Productive Assistance (BPUM).
In the first phase, the agency proposed 13 thousand residents and as many as 1,611 verified as recipients. Then in the second phase, 18 thousand were proposed and 10,564 were verified.
“Those that have been verified were 21,175 and if (the assistance) calculated would be IDR50.8 billion. Today we distribute BPUM for two sub-districts, namely Pelaihari and Bajuin,” he said after the symbolically handing over of the assistance at the Pertasi Kencana Stadium, Pelaihari, Wednesday (Dec 23, 2020).
The handover was carried out by applying health protocol and divided into two shifts, first from 08.00 to 12.00 Wita (Central Indonesia Time) for Pelaihari residents and the second from 13.00 Wita for Bajuin residents.
Regent HM Sukamta said that the BPUM program is an attempt by the government to recover the economy in the Bumi Tuntung Pandang (Tanah Laut).
He hopes that with this assistance the small businesses in Tanah Laut to revive and grow again.
